Cadet ranks have been changed. For a number of years, we had aligned the ranks with the RCN in practice, but never actually changed the ranks according to QR(Cadets) (https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/corporate/policies-standards/queens-regulations-orders-canadian-cadet-organizations/chapter-4-cadets.html#cha-004-10 ). The ranks have been reverted back to the previous style of "Cadet" versus "Seaman." A recent communication through CANCDTGEN amplified that we are to use the QR(Cadets) ranks with the addition of "Master Cadet" (https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/services/cadets-junior-canadian-rangers/members/cancdtgens/cancdtgen027-20.html ) As such, the ranks are now:
Chief Petty Officer Cadet, 1st Class (CPO1)
Chief Petty Officer Cadet, 2nd Class (CPO2)
Petty Officer Cadet, 1st Class (PO1)
Petty Officer Cadet, 2nd Class (PO2)
Master Cadet (MC)
Leading Cadet (LC)
Able Cadet (AC)
Ordinary Cadet (OC)
Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers are now welcome to join the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services CFOne Program. This replaces 'military discounts' at many places. A special 'digital tolken' is required to sign up. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to get the image, and upload it during the sign-up process at www.cf1fc.ca to become a member. As part of the extended CAF community, you can get access to:
CANEX: Special member pricing, exclusive perks and CANEX Reward points for both in-store and CANEX.ca online purchases.
cfappreciation.ca: countless discounts from events to attractions and much more.
PSP Recreation: a variety of fitness and recreational programs and activities.

If any CAF member, CI, volunteer or Cadet gets tested for COVID-19 they must e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to inform the Ship's Office.
If any Cadets are performing volunteer activity, we have a method of logging the information now that does not require physically presenting information at the ship's office.
