Cadets will start completing their Phase training program from September to June. Completion of Phase training is what leads to promotions within the program.

Sports and Air Rifle Marksmanship Training
7 and 8 December 2019
RCSCC Vanguard hosts several units to perform air rifle marksmanship training (first time shooters take classes on how to participate), and then have a day of playing sports.

Elemental Training Weekend
21 and 22 March 2020
RCSCC Vanguard hosts several units to complete their Sea Cadet training.
Seamanship Inter-Corps Competition
17 to 19 April 2020
There are 10 Sea Cadet Corps in the Niagara and Greater Toronto Area that will Blackdown CTC to learn about Seamanship and eventually compete with each other in games in the seamanship subjects.
Battle of Atlantic Parade
3 May 2019
HMCS York will be having a parade in Downtown Toronto to commemorate the 70,000 Allied seamen, merchant mariners and airmen lost their lives, including 4,600 Canadians during the longest battle of World War II. HMCS York allows us to participate by marching in their parade.
Location: Dundas Square to start, ending at Nathan Philips Square
Nautical Training Weekend
29 to 31 May 2020
Cadets will participate in on-the-water training.
Dress: C5 (with Runners replacing Boots)
Sail Training Weekend 2 (11 Cadets)
6 and 7 June 2020
Cadets will be transported to the Oshawa Cadet Nautical Training Site (Oshawa CNTS) for sailing training and evaluation. Cadets must participate in a Sail Training Weekend to complete their Phase training. Cadets can earn their Canadian Yachting Association CANSail 1 level, and must do so by the completion of Phase IV.
Annual Ceremonial Review
13 June 2020
Cadets are to arrive Friday at 1830 to work on uniform and static displays and will be sleeping over-night at HMCS York. Breakfast and Lunch is provided.
All guests are requested to arrive for 1330. The parade will start at 1400. Dress is 1A, C1 or Semi-Formal/Business.
Awards Mess Dinner

A dinner to hand out awards and promotions. This year the dinner will be pot-luck, so all are encouraged to bring an entrée to the dinner. Seating at 1830 for a 1900 start.
